Batting Cage Reservation

The CTAA currently has 5 batting cages available, four at our Cranberry Park Facility and one at Rowan 2.

The cages in the park are located near Field #1 and Field #5. These are "split" cages and can be used by two teams at the same time. Both cages are equipped with lights that are on whenever the field lights are on. Both cages are also equipped with one electric pitching machine.

The cage at Rowan 2 is a full size cage. At this time it does not have electricity available so there is no pitching machine at this location.

One is located along the right field line of Field #1, and the other is down the right field line of Field #5. Both cages are the same size and provide electric pitching machines that can be used for either baseball or softball.

Cages can be scheduled in advance by sending mail to ctaa-cages@ctaaonline.com. The guidelines for scheduling cage time are:

• Cage sessions are scheduled for 90 minutes
• You can schedule 2 sessions at a time
• In order to schedule additional sessions you must have used both of the previous scheduled times, i.e. no "rolling schedules".
• Scheduling is done first come, first serve via e-mail.

When scheduling please include the following information:

• cage being requested
• date being requests
• time being requested (times must be either :00 or :30)
• league that the team is part of
• name of the team
• manager's name

If you don't include the above we'll have to send your request back for additional information and it might cause your slot to be filled by someone else.

Sorry about the scheduling limitations, but we have over 150 teams in the association and many of the are competing for these resources.

Finally, please keep the cages in good shape! When you are done make sure that the pitching machine is returned to the equipment box along with any extension cords. Double check that the box is locked! Take a couple of minutes to rake the sand in the cage smooth. If you discover a problem with a cage send mail to ctaa-cages@ctaaonline.com.
