2010 Spring Registration

Registration Dates

On-line registration for the 2010 season will begin January 1, 2010.
Walk-in registration will be held in the Council Chambers of the Cranberry Twp Municipal Building on the following dates:
Wednesday, January 13, 7pm - 9pm
Saturday, January 23, 10am - 2pm
Registrations will be accepted on-line. Please note that the CTAA is not responsible for lost or misdirected forms that are mailed.

Registration Deadlines

NOTE: The registration deadline has been moved to an earlier date this year!
Registration for Shetland (t-ball), Pinto, and Farm Softball leagues will close March 31, 2010
Registration for all other youth leagues will close February 28, 2010
NOTICE: There is a $15 late fee per player for anyone who registers after February 15, 2010 for all leagues with the exception of Shetland 5, Shetland 6, Senior Baseball, and Senior Fastpitch.

Additional Information

• There is a $40 per family fund-raiser fee in addition to the league registration fees that is to be paid at the time of registration
• A copy of the child's birth certificate must be shown with the registration form for any player who has not previously participated in the CTAA spring ball program.
• Major and Senior Slowpitch Softball Leagues will be combined if not enough players register to form a viable in-house league at either age group.
• Practices for all leagues except Shetland start in late March/early April. Shetland practices will start in late April. Regular season begins in late April/early May and concludes July 4. Older leagues may finish later.
• Placement requests are honored for Shetland (t-ball) and Farm Softball only. Pinto may make requests but there is no guarantee that Pinto requiests can be honored.
• An additional uniform fee may be required for the Girls Fast Pitch softball teams.

Additional Playing Opportunities

Softball: Travel teams will be formed in Junior, Intermediate, Major, and Senior Slow Pitch leagues. Softball players interested in participating should register by filling out this form.

Baseball: Travel teams may be formed in Mustang and Bronco leagues. Baseball players interested in participating should register by filling out this form.

There may be an additional fee charged for players who choose to participate.

Refund Policy

• The $40 fund raiser fee is non-refundable.
• The registration fee will be refunded in full if a player withdraws before April 1, 2010. From April 1, 2010 thru April 15, 2010, the registration fee will be refunded less a $10 handling fee. After April 15, 2010, the registration fee is non-refundable.
• All refund requests must be emailed to the registration coordinator, Mike O'Reilly, at ctaa-registration@ctaaonline.com.

By registering for any CTAA youth league, I/we the parents/guardian fully understand the following:

1. Endorse my youth(s) participation in the Cranberry Township Athletic Association (CTAA) program. I understand the primary objective of this program is to provide training and guidance for the youth of our community.
2. I/we agree to return any equipment or uniform items provided by the CTAA to my/our child for use during CTAA related activities; and to return such items in as good a condition as they may have been when issued to my/our child.
3. Agree to release, absolve, indemnify, and hold harmless the CTAA, its sponsors, officers, managers, and coaches in case of injury to my son/daughter during these activities and when being transported to or from these activities.
4. I/we understand that the insurance carried by this league covers only the amount that is not provided by my/our carrier.
5. I/we will provide, upon request, a certified copy of the birth certificate of the youth(s) listed on the registration form.
6. Understand that the elected officers, board of directors, and appointed officers are all volunteers within the Cranberry Township Athletic Association and will respect their time, privacy, and judgement accordingly.

Women's League

The Cranberry Township Athletic Association announces the formation of a women's (18 and over) slow pitch recreational (class D) softball league. Team registration will be accepted beginning January 1, 2010.

Registration will end the earlier of April 30, 2010 or when the league is full. Cost is $ 600 per team. Games will be played on Monday evenings beginning in June in a double header format. Interested teams must contact Mike O'Reilly, league coordinator.

Adult League

Registration for the Cranberry Township Athletic Association Adult Co-Ed slow pitch softball league will be accepted beginning January 1, 2010. Interested teams must contact Michele Moore, league coordinator, prior to February 28, 2010.

Cost is $ 700 per team. Games will be played on Sunday mornings beginning at the end of April. 75% of the players on a team must be Seneca Valley School District residents. Registration is being taken by team only, not by individual player.

Individual players should contact their team manager to sign up. Players that are looking for a team to play on should send an email (include your name, address, phone, and email address) to Mike O'Reilly, registration coordinator.

A list of players looking for teams will be compiled and forwarded to team managers in late March for possible placement.
